Data Range Error in Google Analytics

First, I really like the new interface of Google Analytics. It was an impressive work to improve the tool. But since Google released the new version, it has an error until today that hasn't been fixed. Basically, the error (by the way, a flash error) occurs every time you want to change the date range. I put here a screenshot of it.


This error has been reported several times, but no official answer from Google has been made. Now, Google has adviced us that the old interface will be removed on July 18th. Really, if this problem has no solution before that date, Google Analytics will be useless for me.

Un pedido "fácil" de un amigo

El otro día me llegó un email de un amigo que me pedía ayuda sobre un tema. Cuando lo leí, realmente pensé que me estaba tomando el pelo.

Estoy tratando de ayudar a la Jenni con un proyecto de investigación sobre la profundidad de los agujeros de la zona pelúcida de ovocitos congelados para ver su efecto en la reproducción in vitro (!?) y le propuse un sistema de análisis de las fotos del microscopio electrónico basado en autocad (escala y acota los diámetros) y photoshop (mide la profundidad mediante el la saturación del color de la foto)...lo que es un proceso bastante tedioso considerando que mide unos 50 agujeros por foto... de ahí la pregunta...

Es muy complicado desarrollar un software q automatice estas mediciones, o por lo menos parte de ellas para agilizar el proceso???

Antes me parecía posible q fuera simple, ahora que escribí el mail parece imposible... bueno, respóndeme para salir de la duda

Bueno, al final era cierto el pedido (como lo demuestra un email que otra persona le mandó y que aquí adjunto). Así que si alguien tiene idea de como poder ayudar a mi amigo, que deje un comentario.

Abortion in the times of Down Syndrome and other disease diagnosis

Recently, I read this interesting post in the Freakonomics blog that really worth it.

As a parent, I have found that the greatest pleasures are in watching your child achieve a goal. (...) My guess is that the underdog nature of a child with Down Syndrome makes the little accomplishments that much more satisfying for their parents.

I think we are no one to take the decision to put an end to an innocent life, not even if this child has a problem or a disease. Of course, it's not easy to assume that you have to rise a child with a problem, but again, probably is the most important thing you will do in all your life.
